Maurice Wilkins received several accolades during his career. He was made a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS) in 1950 and was awarded the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1963. Wilkins was also awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1962, along with James Watson and Francis Crick, for their work on the structure of DNA.
