Michael Dreeben began working in the Solicitor General's office in 1988. He is an American lawyer who served as the Deputy Solicitor General of the United States from 2009 to 2019. He previously served as the Principal Deputy Solicitor General from 2003 to 2009. Dreeben has argued 116 cases before the Supreme Court of the United States, more than any other advocate in the past half-century.
