Al-Duhail's new signing Aymen Abdennour previously played for Kashiwa Reysol in the J1 League. He joined the Japanese club in 2013 from French side Monaco, and made 28 appearances in his first season. He helped Kashiwa Reysol to win the J1 League title in 2016, and was named in the J.League Best XI that year.
