Michel Debré served as Prime Minister of France in the 20th century. He was a member of the French Resistance during World War II and served as the Minister of Justice in the provisional government after the war. He was appointed Prime Minister by President Charles de Gaulle in 1958 and served until 1959. Debré was a conservative politician and a strong supporter of the French Union.
