Acqua & Sapone–Cantina Tollo was the first professional cycling team that Michele Scarponi rode for. He joined the team in 2002, after a successful amateur career. Scarponi spent three seasons with Acqua & Sapone–Cantina Tollo, during which time he won several races and established himself as a promising young rider. He left the team at the end of the 2004 season to join Domina Vacanze.
