Miguel Díaz-Canel is the current President of Cuba. He succeeded Raul Castro as the leader of Cuba on April 19, 2018. Diaz-Canel had previously served as First Vice President of Cuba under Castro from 2013 to 2018. He is a member of the Communist Party of Cuba and has held a number of government positions in Cuba since the 1990s.
