Answer
In 1848, Kogălniceanu penned Dorințele partidei naționale din Moldova, a manifesto which was presented to the Imperial Assembly of Moldavia in June 1848. The manifesto demanded greater autonomy for the Principality of Moldavia from the Russian Empire, as well as reforms in the political, economic, and social spheres. The manifesto was well-received by the people of Moldavia, but was ultimately rejected by the Russian authorities.
