Mikhail Bulgakov was a Russian novelist and playwright who was born in Kyiv in 1891. He wrote his works in Russian, and many of them are considered to be classics of Russian literature. Some of his most famous works include The Master and Margarita, Heart of a Dog, and The White Guard.
