Mikhail Khodorkovsky is a Russian oil oligarch who was once the richest man in Russia. In 2004, he was ranked 16th on the Forbes list of billionaires. However, he was later arrested and convicted of fraud and tax evasion. He spent ten years in prison before being pardoned by Vladimir Putin in 2013. Khodorkovsky has since returned to Russia and has been involved in a number of business ventures.
