Answer
Following the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968, Miloš Forman's satirical comedy "The Firemen's Ball" was banned in Czechoslovakia. The film's depiction of the communist regime's bureaucracy and ineptitude was seen as critical of the government and was therefore deemed politically unacceptable. The ban on the film lasted for over 20 years, until the Velvet Revolution in 1989 led to the fall of communism in Czechoslovakia.
