Mithridates V was the father of Mithridates VI. He was a king of Pontus and ruled from 152 BC to 120 BC. He was succeeded by his son, Mithridates VI, who was one of the most famous kings of Pontus. Mithridates VI was known for his wars with Rome and for his use of poison. He was eventually defeated by the Romans and died in 63 BC.
