Born in Qazvin, Mohammad-Ali Rajai was an Iranian politician who served as the second President of Iran. A civil engineer and construction manager by profession, he entered politics in the 1960s and quickly rose through the ranks. He held several cabinet positions, including Minister of Education, before being elected President in 1981.
