Möngke Khan was born Möngke. He was the fifth Great Khan of the Mongol Empire and the eldest son of Kublai Khan. Möngke Khan ruled from 1251 to 1259 and is considered one of the greatest Mongol rulers. He expanded the Mongol Empire to its greatest extent, conquering much of Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and Russia.
