Moshe Sharett was born in Russia on October 24, 1894. He was a Zionist leader and the second prime minister of Israel. He was also a diplomat and served as Israel's first foreign minister. Sharett was a strong advocate for peace with the Arab world and worked to improve relations between Israel and its neighbors. He died in 1965.
