Moshe Sharett died in Jerusalem on April 7, 1965. He was a leading figure in the Israeli Labor Party and served as the second prime minister of Israel from 1953 to 1955. He was also a diplomat and served as Israel's first foreign minister from 1948 to 1956. Sharett was born in Russia in 1894 and immigrated to Palestine in 1917.
