Serving for two years, Shah Nawaz Khan of the Pakistan Muslim League was appointed Prime Minister of Pakistan on 12 October 1958, succeeding I. I. Chundrigar. His term ended on 17 October 1960 when he resigned following the promulgation of the 1962 Constitution.
