What was the name designated to Al-Tabari's school of legal thought?

  • Hanbalite

  • Malikite

  • Jariri

  • Zahiri

Answer

Al-Tabari's school of legal thought is known as the Jariri school. Jariri was a pupil of Abu Hanifah and his school was based on the Hanafi school of thought. However, Jariri also adopted some of the teachings of the Maliki school. Jariri's school was popular in Baghdad and the surrounding area, but it did not spread as widely as the Hanafi school.
