Foulshiels is a village in the Scottish Borders, in the county of Berwickshire. It is located on the River Tweed, approximately 10 miles south-west of Hawick. Foulshiels was the birthplace of Mungo Park, the Scottish explorer who is credited with being the first European to cross the Sahara and the Niger River.
