Quantum Chromodynamics is a theory of the strong force which is one of the four fundamental forces of nature. It was co-invented by Sheldon Glashow, David Politzer, and Frank Wilczek in the 1970s. Theory describes the interactions between quarks and gluons, which are the fundamental constituents of protons and neutrons.
