Murray Walker was born in 1923. He was a British motor racing commentator who covered Formula One for the BBC and ITV for over 50 years. He was known for his enthusiastic and knowledgeable commentary, as well as his trademark catchphrases such as "Murrayisms". Walker retired from commentary in 2001, but continued to make occasional appearances on television and radio. He died in 2021 at the age of 97.
