Muzio Clementi was an Italian composer, pianist, teacher and music publisher. He was born in Rome in 1752 and died in Evesham, England, in 1832. Clementi spent most of his life in England, where he was a leading figure in the development of piano playing and music publishing. He composed over 100 piano sonatas, concertos, and other works, and his music is still performed today.
