Petrovo-Dalneye near Moscow is the reported current residence of Mykola Azarov. After the Euromaidan movement succeeded in ousting then-president Viktor Yanukovych, Azarov fled to Russia in 2014. Since then, he has settled in the village of Petrovo-Dalneye on the outskirts of Moscow, where he remains under the protection of the Russian government.
