Answer
Jules Verne was a French novelist who wrote science fiction novels such as Journey to the Center of the Earth, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and Around the World in Eighty Days. Verne was inspired by the stories of ballooning by French aeronaut and photographer Nadar. Nadar's stories of ballooning captured Verne's imagination and led him to write his own science fiction novels.
