Margaret Fuller strongly opposed the religion of Catholicism. She believed that it was a form of oppression that kept women down and prevented them from achieving their full potential. She argued that Catholicism was based on the idea that women were inferior to men and that they should be subservient to them. This was something that Fuller strongly disagreed with.
