The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is a coalition of political parties in India. It was formed in 1998 by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Prime Minister of India. The NDA was the first non-Congress party to form the government at the centre in India after 1989.
