Tusi updated the planetary model in his work. He proposed a model in which the planets orbited the Sun, which in turn orbited the Earth. This model was more accurate than previous models, which had the planets orbiting the Earth directly. Tusi's model was later adopted by Copernicus and other astronomers, and it is still the basis of our modern understanding of the solar system.
