After retiring from professional football, Neil Harris joined Millwall's coaching staff in 2011 and was appointed assistant manager in 2013. He was promoted to caretaker manager in January 2015 and then became manager in February 2015. Harris led Millwall to promotion to the Championship in 2015-16 and to the play-offs in 2016-17 and 2017-18. He left Millwall in July 2018 to join Cardiff City as manager.
