Nizami of Ganja is the name given to Nizami Ganjavi in literature. He was a 12th-century Persian poet, considered one of the greatest Persian poets of the Golden Age of Persian literature. He is best known for his epic poems, the Khamsa (Five Poems), which include the five long poems "Leyli and Majnun", "Khamsa", "Sasna-e-Iskandar", "The Seven Beauties" and "The Book of Alexander".
