Nizami Ganjavi was an epic romantic poet. He is often called "The Persian Homer" because of his epic poems, such as the "Khamsa" ("Quintet"), which includes the five poems: "Leyli and Majnun", "Khosrow and Shirin", "Iskandarnama", "Seven Beauties", and "The Tale of the Two Kings".
