The Can Lao Party (Vietnamese: Đảng Cần Lao) was a political party established in South Vietnam by Ngô Đình Diệm in 1955. Diệm was a Roman Catholic and the Can Lao Party was seen as the party of Roman Catholics in South Vietnam. Diệm used the Can Lao Party to consolidate his power and to suppress opposition.
