Helena Roerich (1879-1955) was the wife of painter, artist and writer Nicholas Roerich. She was a Russian spiritualist, theosophist, and author of many books, including her autobiography Agni Yoga. She and her husband founded the Agni Yoga Society in New York City in 1920, which has branches in many countries.
