Nick Faldo retired from professional golf in 2003. He had been a professional golfer since 1979 and had won six major championships, including three Masters Tournaments and two Open Championships. Faldo was also a successful Ryder Cup captain, leading Europe to victory in 1997 and 2002. After retiring from professional golf, Faldo became a golf commentator and analyst.
