Nicole Seah's political career started in the 2010s. She was first elected to Parliament in the 2011 general election as a member of the Workers' Party (WP). Seah was the youngest candidate to be elected to Parliament in the 2011 general election. She was also the first female opposition candidate to be elected in a Group Representation Constituency (GRC) in Singapore.
