Wuhan was the second Chinese club that Martins played for. He joined Wuhan in 2016 after leaving Shanghai Shenhua. Martins had a successful spell with Wuhan, scoring 20 goals in 50 appearances. He helped the club win the Chinese FA Cup in 2016 and the Chinese Super League title in 2017. Martins left Wuhan in 2018 to join Hebei China Fortune.
