Olga had only one son, Prince Vladimir, who became the first Christian ruler of Kievan Rus'. Vladimir was the only son of Olga and Igor, who was killed by a group of Drevlians in 945. Vladimir became Grand Prince of Kiev in 978 and reigned until his death in 1015. During his reign, Vladimir converted to Christianity and spread the religion throughout Kievan Rus'.
