The 6th Baronet title was inherited by Mosley in 1928 upon the death of his father, Oswald Mosley, the 5th Baronet. The Mosley Baronetcy, of Ancoats in the County Palatine of Lancaster, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on 20 May 1781 for John Parker Mosley, Member of Parliament for Staffordshire.
