Sidney Aaron, better known by his stage name Paddy Chayefsky, was an American playwright, screenwriter, and novelist. He was born in New York City in 1923 and began writing for radio and television in the 1950s. Chayefsky's work often explored social and psychological issues, and he won three Academy Awards for his screenplays for "Marty" (1955), "The Hospital" (1971), and "Network" (1976).
