Patrick Hillery was born in Spanish Point, County Clare, Ireland. He was a politician who served as the fifth President of Ireland from 1976 to 1990. He was also a member of Fianna Fáil and served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for Clare from 1957 to 1990 and as Minister for External Affairs from 1969 to 1973.
