Patrick Macnee portrayed the younger version of Jacob Marley, Scrooge's deceased business partner, in the 1951 film adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." Marley's ghost appears to Scrooge on Christmas Eve to warn him of the consequences of his miserly ways and to guide him through a series of visions that ultimately lead to his redemption.
