Patrick M'Boma retired from professional football in 2008, when he was 32 years old. He played for a number of clubs throughout his career, including Metz, Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco, and Olympique de Marseille. He was also a key player for the Cameroon national team, helping them to win the 2002 African Cup of Nations and the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup.
