Patsy Mink graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 1951. She was the first woman of color to graduate from the school and went on to become a trailblazing politician, serving as the first woman of color elected to the U.S. Congress and the first Asian American woman to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives.
