Paul Martin was the Prime Minister of Canada from 2003 to 2006. He was a member of the Liberal Party and had previously served as Finance Minister from 1993 to 2002. Martin was elected Prime Minister after the Liberals won the 2003 federal election. He led the Liberals to another victory in the 2004 federal election, but his government was defeated in the 2006 federal election.
