Paul Scholes represented England for 13 years, from 1997 to 2004. He made his debut against Poland in 1997, and scored his first goal for England against Moldova in 1999. He went on to play in the 2002 World Cup and the 2004 European Championship. He retired from international football in 2004, after winning 66 caps and scoring 14 goals.
