Peter Agre is an American scientist. He was born in Natick, Massachusetts, in 1949. He studied chemistry at Cornell University and then went on to do a PhD in biochemistry at Harvard University. He is a professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Agre's research has focused on the structure and function of cell membranes.
