Robbie Beardsley played for the Vancouver Whitecaps in the North American Soccer League. He was born in the United Kingdom and started his career there, playing for Liverpool and Everton. He moved to Canada in 1989 to play for the Whitecaps. He was a successful player, scoring 51 goals in 103 games for the team. He also played for the Canadian national team, appearing in the 1990 FIFA World Cup.
