Peter Debye was a Dutch-American scientist. He was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1884 and died in Ithaca, New York in 1966. He was a physicist and chemist who made significant contributions to the understanding of molecular structure and intermolecular forces. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1936 for his work on Theory of electrolytes.
