Peter Medawar was born on 28th February 1915 in Pinner, Middlesex. He was a British doctor, immunologist and writer. He is best known for his work on tissue transplantation and the development of Theory of acquired immunity. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1960.
