Type O Negative was formed in Brooklyn, New York in 1989 by Peter Steele, Kenny Hickey, Sal Abruscato, and Josh Silver. The band released their debut album, Slow, Deep and Hard, in 1991. They went on to release six more studio albums, as well as a number of live albums and compilations.
