Phil Neville was appointed as the head coach of the England women's national football team in January 2018. Prior to this, he had a successful playing career, representing Manchester United and Everton as a defender. As a coach, Neville had previously managed the England women's under-21 team and had been part of the coaching staff for the senior team under previous manager Mark Sampson.
