Philip Harvey Spector was born on December 26, 1939, in the Bronx, New York City. He is an American record producer, songwriter, and musician who was the main architect of the "Wall of Sound" recording technique, which he used to produce a number of successful pop records in the 1960s. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.
